Welcome
to the Manchester Anglers’ Association. They
are one of the oldest established game angling clubs in the north
west of England, having been founded in 1878. The Association
enjoys extensive trout and salmon fishing in some of the most spectacular
scenery in England.
The association currently own over 10 miles of double
bank fishing on the headwaters of the River Ribble in the limestone
uplands of North Yorkshire, within the parish of Horton in Ribblesdale.
In addition to this extensive river fishery they also own a 4.6 acre
hill tarn above Horton equipped with lodge boathouse and boat.

The lake is 30 feet deep, covers 4.5 acres and is spring fed,
so the water is crystal clear and is set in beautifully quiet,

trout, blue trout, golden trout and rainbow trout. The fish can
weigh between 2lb and 14lb.
