Welcome to Spiders Plus

The materials used for tying NORTH COUNTRY SPIDER PATTERNS (also known in North America as SOFT HACKLE FLIES) have rarely changed over the past 300 years - Pearsall's silk, feathers from game birds such as Grey Partridge, Snipe, Woodcock and Grouse and others including Hen, Heron herl, Golden Plover, Starling, Brown and Tawny Owl - plus fur for dubbed bodies such as hare's mask and mole.

SPIDERS PLUS offer NORTH COUNTRY SPIDER PATTERNS tied with all of these traditional materials, PLUS holographic and fluorescent braids & threads and feathers from other sources such as CdC, Coq de Leon, Brahma Hen and photo-process dyed capes.

Also, in addition to patterns for both Brown and Rainbow Trout, there are flies suited for Grayling - both dries and wets, again tied to traditional recipes such as FRANK SAWYER'S Killer Bugs tied with just GENUINE Chadwick's 477 wool and wire - and many OLIVER EDWARDS patterns such as his Deep Diving Shrimp.

I also offer a (growing) range of accessories that you cannot obtain through the large tackle shops - some are useful, some are essential! Take a look by clicking on the "Online Shop button", then "Accessories" ...

A range of OLIVER EDWARDS DVDs are also now available in the online shop.

PLUS - for those that tie some of their own flies, please take a look at my other small venture:

The Flytying Boutique

Please do feel free to browse my FULLY SECURE online shop (and hopefully buy some flies!) or call me if you prefer - hours and telephone number appear on the "Contact Me" page.

Kind regards

Phil Holding
